Breathe Easy Green Juice

Our lungs work all day and night, whether we’re awake or asleep.  (Thank goodness for that!)  So on average we take 20,000 breaths per day!  Of course, we can be breathing normally and effortlessly, or deeply for relaxation or more rapidly while exercising.

Diseases like COVID-19, which can attack the lungs, shine a light on how important these organs are to be strong and healthy.  This restorative tonic, loaded with greens, helps to soothe swollen or tight breathing passages and lubricate the lungs for improved cardiovascular health.

Fresh turnip is a key ingredient in this recipe for its high volume of vitamin A, and lemons for vitamin C – both turnips and lemons are also full of antioxidants.  Garlic (a natural antibiotic) adds antiviral and antibacterial properties to keep your system clean and robust.  Our Breathe Easy Green Juice is a combination of powerful foods, each loaded with flavour and working to heal your body from within.

INGREDIENTS

Fresh ginger (approx 50cm knob) + 1 bunch watercress + ½ white cabbage + ½ cucumber + 1 green apple + 1 small turnip + 1 clove garlic + 1 lemon

METHOD

Juice all ingredients through a slow juicer and serve.  Alternatively, place all ingredients into a blender, then separate the juice and pulp using a strainer and then serve.

This juice can be consumed once or twice a day and best taken on an empty stomach.  Organic produce is always better.  This recipe makes a single serve.  Enjoy!
