To quote the Dalai Lama “Compassion is a state of mind unable to bear the sufferings of others.  If we all had more compassion, there would be greater peace in the world.”

Mackay Acupuncture have partnered with a like-minded place of  healing that holds meaning to them, and are pleased to donate a portion of proceeds monthly to support their important work with holistic fertility, gentle birthing, paediatric care and general community health.

Whilst living in Perth some years ago, Beth and Mark would visit Bali often. During their very first visit they fell in love with the beauty and energy of the people and mountainous region of Ubud – meaning medicine.

On hearing about the not-for-profit foundation Bumi Sehat – “Bumi” meaning earth-mother and “sehat” translates as healthy – Beth and Mark visited on a number of occasions to learn more about their valuable community work.  At Bumi Sehat they believe that each individual is an essential societal component of peace. By caring for the smallest citizens of Earth – babies at birth – we are building peace: one mother, one child, one family at a time. Their mission is to improve the quality of life and to encourage peace.

Bumi Sehat supports mother and child healthcare through its birth clinic based in Ubud, as well as through education and support in disaster response.

Admiring their natural holistic approach to child and family health services, and aligning with the foundation’s ethos, Beth and Mark have become partners with Bumi Sehat.   A percentage of proceeds from Mackay Acupuncture & Natural Therapies Healing Sanctuary goes to help provide care for expectant mothers and their babies in Indonesia.
